Series 7 decided to take the temperature changing concept of the Secret Skeletal dinosaurs and use it for the point values. Also instead of dinosaurs we got aliens. Series 7 is by far the most creative of the MIMP series as the aliens are almost completely original creations (excepting the obvious He-Man homage known as Blaster of the Universe). 

The heat panels on the backs of the figures would show the point values and the affiliation of the alien (good or evil). Also the point values increased again all the way up to a maximum of 500 points. Essentially the aliens could only battle each other, because the other series were totally overmatched. Like each series other than Series 3, they also came with Battle cards.

The aliens used 5 colors: Pink, Olive Green, Neon Green, Blue and Orange. Most aliens came in 2-3 colors, though there are a couple with 4 colors. No monster was included in all 5 colors. There seems to be no price difference between uncommon and common colors for this series. However, the heat panels get easily damaged and perfect figures tend to go for slightly higher prices.

The Space Aliens are the last recognized Series of MIMP, but there were some numbered monsters after them that should probably be considered Series 8.
