There were 3 different sets of these released in the UK all as cereal premiums in Kellogg's Frosties cereal. They are exactly like the Monster Wrestlers in my Pocket except that they are playing other sports than wrestling. Much like the Monster Wrestlers in my Pocket, the Sport Stars are relatively cheap and easy to find. I haven't seen any difference in prices among the figures. 

There are 12 total figures, and each set had 4 figures that you could obtain by mailing off UPC's to Kelloggs. These sets were lettered A, B and C; with each monster being numbered 1-4 in that letter. I changed them to numbers 1-12 for simplicity in referring to them.

The Sport Stars were followed up by one more humanoid set...
